Medicine Program

The Medicine Program is one of the most challenging yet rewarding programs that prepares students for medical careers.
The degree program lasts 12 semesters.

Throughout the program, students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills needed to provide professional medical care, as well as an understanding of the ethical principles of the profession. They also have the opportunity to engage in scientific research. At each stage, students are introduced to current medical standards based on scientific evidence and knowledge. They also learn methods of acquiring, analyzing and processing information to draw scientific conclusions.

During the first years of study, students are introduced to the latest developments in basic science and learn how to apply modern knowledge to solve scientific problems.

The clinical training phase focuses on developing practical skills and social competence through direct contact with patients and teamwork with health care professionals and representatives of other medical professions.

Application for Medicine Program conducted in English is available only for candidates who are not Polish citizens.

Moreover, we are the only university in Poland which is approved by the United States Department of Education to participate in the Title IV Federal Student Loan Program. This allows the American citizens to study under the same loan terms as they would in their home country.

Graduate Profile:

Graduates of our Medicine Program possess fundamental theoretical knowledge as well as demonstrate practical skills in the medical field. They are also aware of the psychological, social and ethical aspects of medicine and thus display professional competences in the clinical communication. Graduates receive MD (Medical Doctor, lekarz) degree and they are prepared to work in hospitals, other public and private healthcare centres, scientific and research institutions and education.
