Fees and financial aid

Attention:

  1. The bank account number to which the tuition fee for the first semester of study should be paid will be provided to the Candidate after the announcement of the list of those pre-qualified for admission to study, in accordance with the schedule for the announcement of lists.
  2. Candidates who are pre-qualified for admission to the university shall pay the following fee for the first semester in full/installment system.
  3. Candidates who are willing to pay tuition fees in 4 installments per semester must submit a written statement on the choice of installment payment
    by February 24, 2026.
  4. In the case of resignation from the studies, the Candidate, in addition to the resignation form, shall submit an application for a refund of the tuition fee paid.

All bank fees and charges for international wire transfers are to be covered by students.

Financial Aid for U.S. and Canadian Students in the M.D. Program

 

Welcome Students from the United States and Canada

Medical University of Lublin (MUL) understands that planning how you are going to pay for your medical education is an important and sometimes daunting process. While most of our students use a combination of family contribution, private grants and scholarships, some students also consider student loan programs as an option to pay for part or all their educational expenses. It is advisable for all students – including those who have applied for financial aid – to bring sufficient funds with them to cover their initial month's living expenses.

 

The Financial Aid Office (FAO) is in the Deans Office. The FAO staff is well versed on the proper management on several financial assistance programs that may be available to you. To supplement our efforts, we provide convenient electronic processing of loans through our Virtual Financial Aid Office. Specialized counseling is provided by a U.S. based Financial Aid administrator who provides both U.S. and Canadian students with ongoing assistance in financial planning, budgeting, application completion; and management of your debt. Contact information for each of these contacts is listed below.

 

Programs for U.S. Students

U.S. Federal Direct Loans:

The Medical University of Lublin (MUL) participates in the U.S. William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (“Direct Loans”) for U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. Students accepted for admission to the Medical University of Lublin and those who are enrolled at least half time and maintain standards of satisfactory academic progress may apply for Direct Loans to meet direct and indirect educational expenses. The maximum loan amount for which a student is eligible may not exceed the cost of attendance for the academic period in which the student is enrolled, as defined by MUL. The Cost of Attendance can be found under the Student Consumer Information section of this website. The following information has been designed to assist students in understanding the Federal Direct Loan program and provides a step by step guide to the application process at MUL.

 

 

 

Students must ensure that the University Registrar's Office has a clear copy of their US Passport or Permanent Residence Card as well as Driver's License and Social Security card on file.

 

Students must inform the Dean's Office about any changes in the contact data. All information will be sent to the email address on file.

 

Private Education Loans:

Sallie Mae Medical School LoanSM

Sallie Mae offers Medical University of Lublin students a private loan especially designed for medical students.  These loans may be competitive in interest and fees with the PLUS and GRAD PLUS loans in some circumstances. The interest charged on these loans varies according to the borrower’s credit rating.  In many instances, students find it financially advantageous to provide a cosigner or endorser on the loan application. Although other private lenders offer US students credit based loans, at this time, it is our understanding that only Sallie Mae offers their private loans to U.S. students studying outside of the United States.

Programs for Canadian Students

Canada Student Loan Program:
Canadian students attending Medical University of Lublin may apply for the Canada Student Loan Programs. Application is made through the student’s provincial ministry of education. Private Education Loans:
Most major Canadian banks offer educational loans to Canadian students attending medical school at approved schools outside of Canada. When attending medical school outside of Canada or United States, a co-signer (endorser) is required. If you need assistance in locating private loans from Canadian banks please contact Ms. Jane Sutter at FAS.
